Our company started in 1991, after a successful venture in Western Massachusetts, Envirotest was formed in the Boston area with a focus on building hazards such as Air Quality and Sick Building Syndrome. Envirotest then naturally progressed on to focus into Asbestos, Radon and Lead Paint testing.

Our first air quality sampling for mold (fungi) on a building was performed in 1992 to determine the cause of mold growth (in an attic) which was devastating a private home. This specific test was performed well before most mold (fungi) testing firms, laboratories and consultants even thought of mold testing in construction as a viable business.

Our mold expert is Samuel N. Cohen, he has over 20 years experience in the Environmental Science field, has intimate knowledge of Construction Codes, and can determine air quality problems quickly and then recommend many cost effective ways to solve your air quality problem.   He is an innovator in the Mold field who was one of the first mold testing consultants to successfully utilize thermal imaging in this field. Our General Manager is Mark E. Gorham, he has over 23 years in environmental inspection and sales consultant. He is keenly aware of project development and can effectively calculate costs associated with environmental issues. Our lead paint testing coordinator is Gerry LeBlanc who has been with Envirotest for over 13 years, he is a massachusetts licensed lead paint inspector and also anexpert in the Asbestos field and is a certified lead inspector.  Furhtermore he is an air quality expert and can assist in all your monitoring needs.

Paul Nevins heads up our asbestos consulting division and is an expert with many years of asbestos and air quality consulting and air monitoring.

Solomon Cohen has been with Envirotest for over 16 years and is an expert in the asbestos field as well as in all types of air quality monitoring .
